NU-T Egyptian Handicrafts
We at NU-T are proud that we are not just a company, but rather we see that we are an artistic house concerned with the traditional handicrafts that have distinguished the Egyptian society throughout its history that extends for thousands of years.
NU-T’s philosophy stems from the relentless pursuit of the most original and distinctive Egyptian artistic handicrafts, which we find across the outskirts and corners of this ancient country, and the search for products that pass through each of the different regions and bear their own character, and tell the story of the generations that passed through them. Countless arts and crafts were inherited.
We produce handmade ceramic works inspired by the environment of Siwa, the magnificent oasis in the Western Desert of Egypt, and all works are inspired by the surrounding nature.
And on the outskirts of the southern delta from the city of Fayoum, we find a different nature, unique motifs, and dazzling design elements in their simplicity and innate elegance. Even the raw materials used such as silt and techniques come different from what we see in Siwa. It is also mentioned that some glusur burning techniques are different. It is almost unparalleled in the world.
In the city of Fuwah in Kafr El-Sheikh,NU-T, with the help of the artist Israa Rashad, made designs that extend their roots to Pharaonic Egypt, and she rephrased the pharaonic designs engraved in the conscience for contemporary designs that keep pace with our current era.
The name NU-T is the name of the sky goddess in the ancient Egyptian religion. It is usually depicted in the form of a beautiful woman bending over and embracing the world with her body. She wears a star-studded robe that humanity has guided in different directions. It is the same philosophy of our company, which is obtaining handmade products from different parts of our country. Every region in Egypt has artistic handicrafts that distinguish every hamlet, every village, and every city
NU-T’s work is not limited only to spontaneous artists or craftsmen, but we cooperate with professional Egyptians to create exclusive lines of design, for example, the carpet line that was designed by the artist Israa Rashad, which is inspired by the ancient Pharaonic designs, which were executed manually using local natural cells in one of the Villages of Delta Egypt in the city of Kafr El-Sheikh.
We are also interested in adding different materials and crafts such as making handmade alabaster in the south of Egypt in the city of Luxor, bamboo from the capital, Cairo, and wood from the city of Damietta.
NU-T has all the qualifications and tools to produce production lines and designs. In our business network, we rely on electronic commerce, wholesale and retail sales, and the implementation of production lines and special designs according to the required decoration style and the general theme to create a distinctive visual identity.
